The Canadian Reformed
Churches believe all that is in the Bible, as is
summarized in
the Apostles
Creed
the Nicene
Creed
the Athanasian
Creed
Specific
doctrinal issues are dealt with in the Reformed confessions, which
are
the
Belgic Confession
the
Heidelberg Catechism
the
Canons of Dort
For the maintenance of good order
in the church of Christ it is necessary that there be offices and
supervision of doctrine; assemblies; worship, sacraments, and
ceremonies; and discipline. These are regulated in the Church Order, which is adapted by all our
Churches in the Federation.
Education of our
Children
Since we are responsible to educate our children in
accordance with God's Word as summarized in the above creeds , we
cannot expect a public school system to take over the duties of
our parents. And this is why you will find a local Christian
School, founded and operated by members of a Canadian Reformed
Church. Burlington's John Calvin Christian School is located at the rear of Ebenezer
Church. For more

Our Church building features 2 corner stones. The first one
was laid on September 2nd., 1957. We were very proud of this
building. There was a lot of history and many good memories.
Unfortunately a fire in the fall of 1988 completely destroyed the
building. The only thing we could salvage was the cornerstone of
1957, which found a permanent place near the front entrance below
the new stone which was unveiled on July 3, 1990 by our first
pastor, Rev. Gilbert Van Dooren.
