Our Best Friend's Wedding, Spring 1998

A very special Wedding in the Spring of 1998, Sharon and I stood at our very special friends side, Cheryle. She let us pick our own dresses and Sharon and chose two of these lovely Alfred Angelo creations.

The Garter Ritual

A shot before the music started and my spouse removed my garter, that was my someting "blue", as the lace on the pretty garter was that. The picture is dark and did not scan well, but after the garter was off, so were we to get changed and leave for our honeymoon!.

A special Spring Wedding in 1995

A very special girlfriend of mine in Vancouver called me asked me to stand at her side with her sister, and the bride was a seasmstress and asked both of us exactly what we wanted to wear, and we decided.

Since her sister and I were both in need of a dress and we both wanted something we could wear later, and as it turned out, her and I needed a summer formal dress for that summer, and this is what we decided on!.

A trip to the Photographers

One of the things I did during my hectic day, was a trip to the photographers, and this particular these are ones that both my spouse and I feel are some the best ever taken of me.

They are so special as they were taken on a very wonderful day!.

A Wedding in the Summer, 1997

I was able to help choose this dress and the Bride, a cousin, listened to reason when I ashed her to let me choose a dress that the Bridesmaid's could use after the Wedding. She did and this was the dress, and I have worn this a couple of times since to formal occasions.

A cousin's Wedding

Myself, my sister and three other Bridesmaid's all went looking for dresses with the Bride. There were varying body sizes and types and in the end, this is the dress we all agreed look good on us. It was perfect for an August Wedding and we wore simple white heels with the dress, which worked out nice.

"Memories of the 60's"

My girlfriend, a history student, was fanscinated with the Kennedy's, she talked about them all the time, and when her Wedding came up and she asked me to be a Bridesmaid, I was not surprised at what she picked.

The dress was actually made by a friend of hers, she made all the dresses as well as the hats, it was quite the different look and Wedding.

A "Rush" wedding in 1991

One of my friend's from College needed a bridesmaid in a hurry, and I was there for her. This dress was actually her sisters, and I bought it off her and it fit really well. The only thing I needed to worry about was the shoes!.

A very Purple Dress from 1991

My best friend from High School, and fellow Spirit Squad member, Kathy, thought it might be fun to continue the theme of our favorite our High School colours, and have the dresses of myself and a few other spirit squad members to be in the wedding party, purple. So here is me, finding some shade and quiet time while Kathy and her new husband get their pictures taken.

A Wedding in 1995

This dress was from a wedding in 1995, it was the first weekend of August, and it was a hot and sticky morning, combined with a rain storm of 1 1/2 hours. Thank heavens the sun showed up around noon, and the rest of the afternoon was perfect!.

We went and got fitted for the dresses, 6 girls in total, we all loved the dress and thought it was perfect, then we went for the final fitting. It was realized at that time how low the back of the dress was, well it required another $60 in lingerie, as we all needed special low backed bras!.

An August Wedding, 1996

For all of the years I have been asked to be a bridesmaid for girlfriends, sisters, cousins and such, it was not to my best friends surprise when I groaned as I learned that she wanted me to stand at her side for her wedding.

Now, since I was to be the only bridesmaid, and thanks to the internet, I found this lovely dress from someone who answered my add for a bridesmaid/formal dress, and instead of paying $200 for a dress and $60 for shoes, I got the whole package for $48!, thanks Jennifer!.

Nope, Not Another Fusia Dress!

I was the only Bridesmaid in this wedding and I found this dress in a consignment shop, and it was actually a Cranberry in colour, the exact colour the bride was looking for. I was lucky when the bride did not insist on dyed satin heels, instead, I pulled out a pair of black patent heels and they did the trick!. The photographer played with the lighting and came out with these spectacular pictures, and I was pleased with the results!.

Yes, Finally an UGLY Bridesmaid's Dress!

I cannot remember which wedding the bridesmaid's and I were trying on dresses for, I remember there were at least 4 of us, and when we tried on this dress, I was not the only one to find it a little too gaudy, two of the other girls did, but one actually like it!. Even though I have worn countless bridesmaid's dresses and posted lovely pictures, I thought I would let everyone know that I too have tried an UGLY dress on, or two!.
