For some time, Sharon and I were discussing our lives and what would happen in the future years, what about the life of Jennifer, yes Jennifer, I existed only a few days a week in those days and none through the summer, would I disappear?. In the future would I be an integral part of their lifestyle?, or fade as a passing ship in the night, well the ship idea sunk real fast and then realized Jennifer was there to stay.

I was already an integral part of their lives, participating in Christmas, having birthdays, celebrating Valentines day with cards and flowers exchanged with my lover and girlfriend Sharon. Well the first part of the journey to become a bride began one December night when Sharon and I decided to go out to a local restaurant to have our usual Christmas dinner. This night was put aside each year for us to dress in nice, but not formal clothes and dine in a nice restaurant. So let go back to that December night and let you know how it went and how Sharon asked me to become her fiancee.

After getting home for work at 5pm, I knew I had an hour to get ready for a special night out with Sharon for our annual Christmas dinner out to a special restaurant, and in this case a really nice one, called, McGinnus's. Before I go any further, let me describe the restaurant that we went to.

McGinnus's is a local cozy restaurant in our area that we frequent quite a bit, it is the type of restaurant that you can either dress up or down and feel comfortable, it is not really a big family type restaurant, but rather a place that people gather to enjoy a few drinks and good food. The lighting is dim and in certain sitting areas near the fireplace, the mood created can be described as romantic to say the least.

On this special occasion, I decided that I was going to dress in an outfit that I was waiting for an occasion to wear. I went to the bedroom and pulled out my new purple turtleneck sweater, and pondered on a skirt that I could wear with it that would fit the mood I want to be in and that was romantic and dressed up. So for the time being I selected my black velvet skirt and placed the articles on the bed as I went to the familiar lingerie drawer to pick out special undergarments. I picked out my favorite black lacy panties, and matching lacy padded black bra, I then slipped into a white lacy camisole and black lacy slip. I decided on such a special occasion that I would put on a brand new pair of silky black nylons that would make my legs feel extremely silky and give them a sexy appearance.

Once pleased with my undergarments I went to the closet and donned my housecoat and low white heels for the time being, and made my way to the bathroom for the routine application of my base makeup (something that I have learned is best in the bathroom over the sink rather than in the bedroom at the makeup table). Once finished that application, I find it best to slip into the clothes for the evening to get a better idea of the makeup application and the colours. Therefore I slipped into the black velvet skirt and purple top and looked at myself in the mirror and decided to change the skirt, I was going to wear and slipped into a crepe style black tiered skirt that created a more sexy and romantic appearance.

Pulling up a chair up to my makeup table I began to apply my makeup to match the appearance that I wanted to convey. I began by applying my eye makeup and decided on dark purple for my lower lids and dark pink for my upper, with a dash of dark charcoal on my outer lids to widen the appearance of my eyes. Black eyeliner and mascara was next and this was applied a little heavier than normal to accommodate the lower light conditions. I used my darker blush to highlight my cheeks, rather than making myself look like a slut. The lipstick I chose was darker than my everyday shade, once again to enhance the appearance I was trying to go for.

To finish the whole look off, I decided to keep my jewelry simple and chose a pair of short dangly gold earrings and gold anklet. I slipped into my high 3" black pumps and spritzed myself with Obsession perfume and brushed out my hair to perfection. I moved to the mirror and surveyed my appearance and was very pleased as even I thought I looked both romantic and sexy.

Following that, I met Sharon in the living room and she liked how I looked, and she also had prepared for the evening by simply darkening up her makeup and slipping into a higher heel. She already was dressed from work and gave me a quick lesson on going from work to evening wear without changing ones clothes. After idle chat and relaxation, we donned our coats and headed out the door for the restaurant.

Once arriving at the restaurant, Sharon asked the hostess for a non-smoking table in a 'quiet' area, we were then told it would be a few minutes and invited us to sit in the waiting area and enjoy a drink. The drink area was quite romantic and Sharon and I sat and I ordered a wine and Sharon a beer. We were then approached by a waiter that informed us, "your table is ready ladies", I smiled as I always do when I am with Sharon and am addressed as "ladies". Sharon and I made our way to our table, located right in as back corner, it was so romantic and special. At dinner we discussed many things and one of them was the fact that we would be moving in the new year and that she wanted me to design one of the bedrooms, as that one would be mine, well that is basically what we discussed as we soaked up the ambiance. As we paid for the bill, our waitress wrote on the bill, "Merry Christmas ladies", well I could not stop smiling and Sharon noticed that as she reached over and gave my hand a gentle and understand squeeze.

Once we arrived at our apartment, Sharon asked if I would like to slip into one of my dresses as we had talked about maybe dressing each other up when we got home. "Dressing each other up" is something that Sharon and I do often, and it works like this. She leaves me out something that she want to see me in, and I do the same, right from the lingerie out. Well Sharon went first and she left me out my short black lacy semi-formal dress, black lacy panties and matching bra. She wanted me to look very sexy and left me out my highest heels, and her favorite perfume on me. After slipping into all my clothes, I darkened my makeup to accommodate the clothes and then left out Sharon her brand new formal skirt and top combination, it looks lovely on her and shows her breast off nicely, I also left her out the same perfume that she left me and dark red lipstick, and to finish the look off, her high black patent heels.

Once Sharon had changed she met me in our living room and joined me on the couch, and we talked about different things, like my bedroom and what I wanted for it, and she gave me some ideas. After awhile, Sharon got up and went into the kitchen and grabbed her purse and came into the living room and produced a small blue velvet case, after handing it to me she told me to open it and then uttered the words, "Jennifer, will you be my wife?", well I knew this may have been coming, but was shocked and paused for a few seconds. I agreed and was filled with so much joy, I slipped the ring on and then Sharon pulled very close to me and we kissed deeply for the longest time, after which, Sharon got up and went to the kitchen and produced a bottle of champagne and some silver glasses.

After celebrating with champagne and taking pictures, Sharon then sat down on the couch with me and we discussed all the different things that I would need to think about, maid of honor, possible dates, her clothes, how big or small, and of course my wedding dress. As far as my wedding dress went, Sharon promised to take me out shopping for one, and to help me out she produced a copy of "Brides", and we flipped through and looked at the different gowns and I told her what I like and she gave me pointers on what would be the best dress, from her own experience and we found a couple of absolutely beautiful dresses and she told me to cut them out and put them in my purse for when we go shopping. We also decided to go shopping for the dress in the new year after we got settled in the new house.

Sharon then ended the whole evening off by going to the bedroom and leaving out a sexy lacy red teddy for me, and asked me to leave her out something "nice", and I got out her sexy black teddy. Sharon then joined me in the bedroom and we celebrated our engagement in another special way.
